Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and ginger.
- In another bowl, combine brown sugar, white sugar, vegetable oil, sour cream, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined; avoid overmixing.
- Gently fold in chopped apples until evenly distributed in the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for about 55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool for 10 minutes before transferring it to a cooling rack. Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth; drizzle over cooled bread.
