- 1/2 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- pinch salt
Instructions
- Activate the yeast by mixing it with warm milk and sugar; let it sit until bubbly.
- Whisk in the eggs and melted butter.
- Combine flour and salt in a large bowl, then add the yeast mixture and knead until soft.
- Allow the dough to rise in a greased bowl until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough, spread apple butter over it, and sprinkle with sugars and cinnamon.
- Roll up tightly, slice into rounds, and let them rise again in a greased baking pan.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) until golden brown.
- Mix frosting ingredients and spread over warm rolls.
