Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon loose black tea leaves (or 1 tea bag)
- 10–12 mint leaves (plus extra for garnish)
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 cup apple juice (or apple-flavored soda)
- 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lime juice
- Ice cubes (as needed)
Instructions
- Brew the Tea: In a medium-sized saucepan, combine water, tea leaves, mint leaves, and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to low and simmer for one minute.
- Strain and Cool: Remove from heat and strain the brewed tea into a measuring cup or pitcher. Let it cool for about 10 minutes.
- Assemble: Fill two tall glasses with ice cubes and add 4-5 mint leaves to each glass. Pour in ½ cup of apple juice (or soda) followed by ½ cup of brewed tea.
- Garnish: Add 1 teaspoon of lime juice to each glass and stir gently. Garnish with fresh apple slices and lemon wedges if desired.
