Ingredients
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 2 cups quick cook grits
- 8 oz smoked Gouda cheese (shredded or cubed)
- 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup Half & Half
- 4 beaten eggs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring chicken broth to a boil and stir in minced garlic.
- Gradually whisk in the quick cook grits, reduce heat, and cook until thickened.
- Remove from heat and mix in butter, Gouda, and cheddar until melted.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together Half & Half, eggs, salt, and pepper before combining with the grits mixture.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until set and golden on top.
