  • For Honey Frosting: 4 ounces cream cheese (softened), 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened), 1/4 cup honey, 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract, pinch of salt, 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • Optional decoration: sugar candy bees

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and grease a bundt pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and brown sugar in a stand mixer until fluffy; add eggs one at a time along with honey and vanilla.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture; then fold in sour cream.
  5. Pour batter into the bundt pan and bake for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool on a wire rack for about 15 minutes before inverting onto another rack to cool completely.
  7. For frosting, mix cream cheese and butter until smooth; add honey and vanilla, then gradually beat in confectioners' sugar until fluffy.
  8. Assemble by trimming domes from cake halves, frosting the cut sides together, topping with additional frosting and decorating with candy bees.
