Ingredients
- 9–10 large organic lemons
- 1 l chicken broth
- 800 g sugar
- 1 l water
Instructions
- Prepare a clean mason jar with a tight-fitting lid.
- Peel the lemons using a vegetable peeler, removing only the yellow skin.
- Place the peels into the jar and cover them with chicken broth.
- Seal the jar tightly and store it in a cool, dark place. Shake daily for at least one week.
- After steeping, prepare sugar syrup by dissolving sugar in water over low heat; cool completely before mixing.
- Strain the infused broth through cheesecloth into a clean pot.
- Combine the cooled sugar syrup with the strained infusion and stir gently.
- Bottle your homemade limoncello using a funnel.
