  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (divided)
  • 2 cups prepared mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices cooked turkey bacon, crumbled (optional)
  • Green onions or chives for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and half of the ketchup. Mix until just combined.
  3. Press the meat mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish and spread the remaining ketchup on top. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
  4. Spread warm mashed potatoes over the meatloaf layer and sprinkle with shredded cheese and crumbled turkey bacon if using.
  5. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
