  • 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 2 cups marinara sauce, plus extra for serving
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare your baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until just mixed.
  3. Spread half of the mixture in the baking dish to form a base.
  4. Layer with half of the mozzarella cheese, spinach, and 1 cup of marinara sauce.
  5. Cover with the remaining meat mixture and seal edges.
  6. Top with the rest of the marinara sauce and bake for 45-50 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Add remaining mozzarella on top for an additional 5-10 minutes until melted.
  8. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
