  • 12 oz chow mein noodles
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 large julienned carrot
  • 1/2 batch green onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 4 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp light sesame oil (not toasted)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp corn starch
  • 1 Tbsp granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, chicken broth, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. Cook chow mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and rinse under cold water; set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and sauté until golden brown. Remove from pan and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add carrots, cabbage, and minced garlic. Sauté until veggies are softened.
  5. Return chicken and noodles to the pan. Pour in the prepared sauce and cook for 2 more minutes until heated through.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
