  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: Serves 4

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices of chicken ham
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pound chicken breasts to a thickness of about ¼ inch. Layer each breast with a slice of chicken ham and cheese, then roll tightly and secure with toothpicks.
  3. Prepare a breading station: season flour with salt and pepper, dip each roll in flour, then beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat; sear each roll for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Place the rolls in a baking dish and bake for 20–25 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, whisk in flour for one minute, then gradually add milk while stirring. Mix in Dijon mustard and Parmesan cheese until thickened; season to taste.
  7. Remove toothpicks from chicken rolls, slice them into rounds, drizzle with cream sauce, and garnish if desired.
