Ingredients
- 1 cup crushed chocolate cookies
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup cream cheese or Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup sugar or natural sweetener
- 1/2 cup melted dark chocolate
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
Instructions
- Prepare the base by mixing crushed chocolate cookies with melted butter and pressing into the bottom of a springform pan. Chill for at least 30 minutes.
- For the mousse, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form. Blend cream cheese (or Greek yogurt), sugar, and melted dark chocolate until smooth; fold in whipped cream gently. Spread over chilled base and refrigerate for at least one hour.
- In a saucepan, whisk together fresh orange juice, honey (or maple syrup), and cornstarch over medium heat until thickened (5-7 minutes). Cool slightly before pouring over the mousse layer.
- Once set, carefully release from the springform pan, garnish with fresh orange slices or zest, and serve.
