Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- Zest of 1 orange
- 4 oz dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon plant-based gelling agent (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine heavy cream, sugar, and orange zest. Heat gently until sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat and stir in orange juice and vanilla extract.
- Break dark chocolate into pieces in a bowl and pour warm cream mixture over it. Let sit for a few minutes, then stir until smooth.
- If desired, dissolve the plant-based gelling agent in warm water and mix into the chocolate cream.
- Pour into serving glasses or ramekins and refrigerate for at least 2-4 hours, or overnight.
- Serve chilled, garnished with optional toppings like whipped cream or chocolate shavings.
