  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: About 12 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (200g) light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups (281g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (for dark cinnamon swirl)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for dark cinnamon swirl)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  3. Gently fold in flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon until no streaks of flour remain.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. In a small bowl, mix together additional granulated sugar and cinnamon for the swirl, then sprinkle over the batter. Use a knife to gently swirl it in.
  5. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until edges are set; a toothpick should come out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. Allow blondies to cool completely before slicing into squares.
