- 2 lbs ground beef (80-85% lean)
- 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3/4 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Panko)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 cup ketchup (for glaze)
- 2 tbsp brown sugar (for glaze)
- 1 tsp white vinegar (for glaze)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (for glaze)
- 1/4 tsp onion powder (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line a baking sheet with foil.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion, eggs, milk, breadcrumbs, garlic, ketchup, parsley, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning until just mixed.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan or on a baking sheet.
- Mix glaze ingredients in a small bowl; brush half over the meatloaf.
- Bake for 45 minutes; then apply remaining glaze and bake until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C), about another 15–30 minutes.
- Let it rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing.
