Ingredients
- 1 pound unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cups granulated sugar
- 6 large eggs
- 4 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300F (150C) and prepare a 10-inch tube or bundt pan by greasing and flouring it generously.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar on medium-high speed until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- On low speed, alternately add the sifted flour and whole milk to the mixture until just combined.
- Stir in the vanilla and almond extracts gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for about 1 hour and 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
- Allow cooling in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
