- 1 ½ cups cake flour
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 cups walnuts (roughly chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a stand mixer, cream together cold butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and creamy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together cake flour, all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts until evenly distributed.
- Divide dough into nine equal portions (about 6 ounces each) and shape into rough balls.
- Chill dough balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Bake for 10–11 minutes or until golden around the edges but slightly underbaked in the center.
- Allow cookies to cool on the sheet for about 10–15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
