  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (for filling)
  • Extra cinnamon-sugar mixture for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mash bananas and whisk in melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the banana mixture; stir until just combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese with granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Pour half of the banana batter into the loaf pan; sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over it.
  7. Spread cream cheese filling on top and layer remaining banana batter over it.
  8. Finish by sprinkling the remaining cinnamon-sugar on top; swirl gently with a knife.
  9. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
