- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
- 1/3 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 2 cups cooked rice (white, brown, or cauliflower)
- Fresh parsley or green onion for garnish
Instructions
- Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add seasoned shrimp and cook until pink (about 2–3 minutes per side). Remove from skillet.
- Lower heat and add remaining butter along with minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream (or half-and-half) and parmesan cheese; let simmer until slightly thickened.
- Return shrimp to the skillet and toss gently in the sauce; cook for an additional 1–2 minutes until heated through.
- Serve over warm rice and garnish with fresh parsley or green onion.
