  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: Approximately 12 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup chow mein noodles
  • 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil or vegetable shortening (optional)
  • 1/2 cup milk or dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp coconut oil or butter (optional)
  • Pastel candy eggs for decoration
  • Optional: Colorful sprinkles or nonpareils

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. In another bowl, cream together softened butter and sugars until fluffy. Add vanilla and egg; mix well.

  6. Form nests on cooled cookies and fill with melted chocolate; allow to set before adding candy eggs.
