Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- In a medium saucepan, combine cherries, sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Simmer over medium heat for about 5-10 minutes until thickened.
- Melt butter in your baking dish in the oven (about 3-5 minutes).
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, milk, and baking powder until smooth.
- Pour batter into the melted butter without mixing. Top with cherry filling.
- Bake for approximately 45 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
- Let cool for about 10 minutes before serving warm.
