Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded Pepper Jack cheese
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (about 1 oz)
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled (about 6 slices)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth (optional for slow cooker)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Place chicken in a slow cooker or skillet. Sprinkle ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper over the top. For slow cooking, add chicken broth.
- Add dollops of softened cream cheese over the chicken.
- For slow cooker: Cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. For stovetop: Cook on medium heat for 6-7 minutes per side until browned and fully cooked; then remove and shred.
- Stir shredded chicken back into the slow cooker or mixing in the skillet with the melted cream cheese mixture.
- Mix in shredded Pepper Jack cheese and crumbled bacon until everything is heated through.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
