  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded Pepper Jack cheese
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (about 1 oz)
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled (about 6 slices)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (optional for slow cooker)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place chicken in a slow cooker or skillet. Sprinkle ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper over the top. For slow cooking, add chicken broth.
  2. Add dollops of softened cream cheese over the chicken.
  3. For slow cooker: Cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. For stovetop: Cook on medium heat for 6-7 minutes per side until browned and fully cooked; then remove and shred.
  4. Stir shredded chicken back into the slow cooker or mixing in the skillet with the melted cream cheese mixture.
  5. Mix in shredded Pepper Jack cheese and crumbled bacon until everything is heated through.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
