- 2 cups Fruity Pebbles cereal
- 4 cups whole milk
- 1 cup cereal milk (from above)
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt (omit if using salted butter)
Instructions
- Prepare the Cereal Milk: Combine Fruity Pebbles and whole milk in a mixing bowl. Let sit for 30 minutes to infuse. Strain through a fine mesh sieve to obtain your cereal milk.
- Cook the Flour Mixture: In a saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the cereal milk, all-purpose flour, and sugar until thickened (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool.
- Make the Frosting: Beat softened butter until creamy in another bowl. Gradually add the cooled flour mixture while mixing until smooth. Stir in vanilla extract until fluffy.
