Ingredients
- 1 box brownie mix or homemade brownies (8x8 or 9x9 pan)
- 2/3 cup evaporated milk
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg yolk
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup toasted pecans
- 1 3/4 cups shredded coconut
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients.
- In a medium saucepan, combine evaporated milk, sugar, egg yolk, and butter over medium heat. Simmer for 8-10 minutes until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract, pecans, and shredded coconut.
- Frost cooled brownies with the mixture using a spatula.
- Allow to cool completely before serving.
