- 8 oz dry Fusilli Corti Bucati Pasta (or pasta shape of choice)
- 2 tablespoons Gochujang (Korean Red Chili Pepper Paste)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 4 tablespoons salted butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ cup shredded cheese (parmesan or cheddar)
- ½ cup heavy cream
- Optional: black pepper and chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in boiling salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a skillet over medium heat, combine olive oil and butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in gochujang until well incorporated, then add heavy cream and mix until smooth.
- Gradually add shredded cheese while stirring continuously until melted. Adjust sauce consistency with reserved pasta water as needed.
- Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce mixture until evenly coated. Season with black pepper if desired.
- Serve garnished with parsley.
