Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, bring rinsed hibiscus flowers, 4 cups of water, and granulated sugar to a boil over high heat.
  2. Cover the saucepan, reduce heat to low, and let it simmer for about 15 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool to room temperature.
  4. Strain out the hibiscus flowers using a colander.
  5. Add the remaining 4 cups of water to the strained liquid to adjust concentration.
  6. Stir well and chill in the refrigerator if serving iced.
