Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pint strawberries
- 1 cup water (for syrup)
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tea bags (family size) or 8 regular tea bags
- 8 cups water (divided)
- Ice (to fill glasses)

Instructions
- Prepare the strawberry syrup: Wash and quarter strawberries. In a medium saucepan, combine strawberries and 1 cup of water; bring to a boil for 10-15 minutes. Strain out pulp and stir in sugar until dissolved. Return to heat for another minute, then let cool.
- Brew the tea: Boil 4 cups of water and pour over tea bags in a heat-proof container. Let steep for 5 minutes, then remove tea bags. Pour brewed tea into a pitcher and add the remaining cold water.
- Combine: Once the strawberry syrup has cooled, mix it into the brewed tea until well integrated.
- Serve: Fill glasses with ice, pour in your homemade iced tea, and garnish with fresh strawberries or mint if desired.
