- 6 chicken thighs
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 large peaches, sliced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Fresh thyme and basil for garnish
- 2 tsp sea salt, divided
- 1 tsp fresh cracked pepper, divided
- 1 tsp oregano, divided
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika, divided
- 8 oz turkey strips
- 1 large shallot
- 3 cloves garlic, grated or pressed
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Season chicken thighs with salt, pepper, oregano, paprika, and garlic powder on both sides.
- In a large sauté pan over medium heat, cook turkey strips for about 3 minutes until dark red. Set aside.
- Add olive oil to the pan and brown the seasoned chicken thighs for 1–2 minutes on each side until golden.
- Sauté chopped shallots in the same pan until softened, then add grated garlic.
- Pour in chicken broth to deglaze the pan and let simmer for 3 minutes.
- Stir in butter and honey until melted; add cooked chicken back to the pan with thyme sprigs.
- Bake covered for 15 minutes. Add sliced peaches, spooning more sauce over them before broiling for an additional 3–5 minutes until soft.
- Serve garnished with fresh basil leaves and extra herbs.
