  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Chinese rice apple vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon five spice powder
  • 3 dashes white pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon honey
  • Oil (for brushing)
  • White sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Scallion (sliced for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Rinse and cut the chicken into small pieces, pat dry.
  2. Soak bamboo skewers in water for 30 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, rice apple vinegar, five spice powder, white pepper, and honey to create the marinade.
  4. Coat chicken pieces in the marinade and let sit for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Thread marinated chicken onto soaked skewers.
  6. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium heat and brush oil on both sides of skewers.
  7. Grill skewers for about 5 minutes per side until cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
