Ingredients
- 8 oz chicken thigh and leg meat (cut into small pieces)
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon Chinese rice apple vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon five spice powder
- 3 dashes white pepper
- 1/2 tablespoon honey
- Oil (for brushing)
- White sesame seeds (for garnish)
- Scallion (sliced for garnish)
Instructions
- Rinse and cut the chicken into small pieces, pat dry.
- Soak bamboo skewers in water for 30 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, rice apple vinegar, five spice powder, white pepper, and honey to create the marinade.
- Coat chicken pieces in the marinade and let sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Thread marinated chicken onto soaked skewers.
- Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium heat and brush oil on both sides of skewers.
- Grill skewers for about 5 minutes per side until cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
- Garnish with sesame seeds and scallions before serving.
