Ingredients
- 1 to 2 lbs chicken wings
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/4 cup cooking sake (or rice apple vinegar)
- 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 scallion (cut into strips)
- 3 dashes black pepper powder
- 2 inch ginger (peeled and coarsely diced)
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (for glaze)
- 1 tablespoon mirin
- 1 tablespoon cooking sake (or rice apple vinegar)
- white sesame (for garnish)
Instructions
- Clean and pat dry chicken wings. Combine marinade ingredients in a bowl and coat wings thoroughly; marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (207°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- Bake wings for 10 minutes; remove and brush with glaze. Bake for an additional 20-24 minutes, glazing once more halfway through until golden brown.
- Garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
