Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Add the cold cubed butter to the dry ingredients and blend until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gently fold in the blueberries.
- Pour in the buttermilk (or milk + vinegar) and optional vanilla extract; mix gently until just combined.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and pat into a rectangle about 1-inch thick. Cut using a biscuit cutter or knife.
- Bake on the prepared sheet for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm with butter, honey, or powdered sugar.
