- 1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup high-quality raspberry jam
- 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch pan.
- Cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add flour and baking powder; mix to form a soft dough. Press into the pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden. Cool slightly, then spread raspberry jam evenly over the surface.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sweetened condensed milk and additional butter; stir continuously until smooth and bubbling (about 5 minutes). Pour over the raspberry layer.
- Melt dark chocolate chips; drizzle over the caramel layer. Allow to set at room temperature for an hour before refrigerating for about two hours before cutting into squares.
