  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Thaw shrimp if frozen; rinse under cold water and pat dry.
  2. In a large skillet, bring about an inch of water to boil, then steam broccoli for 3 minutes until bright green. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add shrimp to the skillet, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  5. Drizzle honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice into the pan; stir to coat shrimp evenly. If desired, add red pepper flakes for heat.
  6. Fold in steamed broccoli and let everything simmer together for another minute.
  7. Serve warm with extra sauce drizzled on top.
