- 16 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 8 oz lump crab meat
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella
- 3 cups panko breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- Canola oil (for frying)
- 1/4 cup shallot (minced)
- 1/4 cup red bell pepper (minced)
- 1 tbsp parsley (freshly chopped)
- 1 tbsp chives (minced)
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic (paste or minced)
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/2 cup mayo
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, lump crab meat, shredded mozzarella, shallots, red bell pepper, parsley, chives, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, Old Bay seasoning, and black pepper until well mixed.
- Shape the mixture into sticks and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Set up three bowls for breading: one with panko breadcrumbs, one with beaten eggs mixed with water, and another with additional panko breadcrumbs.
- Dip each stick into the egg mixture and then coat it with panko breadcrumbs. Repeat for extra crunch.
- Heat oil in a frying pan to about 350°F (175°C). Fry the sticks in batches until golden brown on both sides (approximately 3-4 minutes per side). Drain on paper towels before serving.
