- 2 cups leftover mashed potatoes
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese of choice)
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil or cooking spray for frying
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) if baking.
- In a mixing bowl, combine leftover mashed potatoes, shredded cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until just mixed.
- Form the mixture into small balls about the size of golf balls and place them on a lined baking sheet.
- For baking: Spray lightly with olive oil and bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown. For frying: Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry until golden on all sides.
- Allow the puffs to cool slightly before serving.
