  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar (for glaze)
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (for glaze)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, eggs, milk, breadcrumbs, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf in a greased loaf pan or on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. For the glaze, heat brown sugar, ketchup, Dijon mustard in a small saucepan over medium heat until smooth.
  5. Spoon half of the glaze over the meatloaf before baking for 40 minutes. Add remaining glaze and bake for an additional 15–20 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  6. Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
