- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/3 cup brown sugar (for glaze)
- 1/2 cup ketchup (for glaze)
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, eggs, milk, breadcrumbs, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf in a greased loaf pan or on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- For the glaze, heat brown sugar, ketchup, Dijon mustard in a small saucepan over medium heat until smooth.
- Spoon half of the glaze over the meatloaf before baking for 40 minutes. Add remaining glaze and bake for an additional 15–20 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
