- 1 pound 80% lean ground beef
- 1 large egg (lightly beaten)
- 1 small onion (finely diced)
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- Fresh parsley (or dried)
- Granulated garlic
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1/2 cup ketchup for glaze
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar for glaze
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, beaten egg, onion, milk, bread crumbs, ketchup, parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf in a loaf pan or casserole dish.
- For the glaze, mix ketchup and brown sugar; brush over the meatloaf.
- Bake uncovered for about 45 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
