Ingredients
- 4 slices fresh pineapple
- 1½ pounds beef tenderloin
- 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
- 1 medium garlic clove (minced)
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine hoisin sauce, ginger, garlic, and Dijon mustard to create the marinade.
- Season the beef tenderloin with salt and pepper, then coat it in the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat your broiler. Broil pineapple slices on a pan for 5-7 minutes until caramelized.
- Sear the marinated tenderloin in a skillet over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes on each side, then transfer it to a preheated oven at 400°F for an additional 10-15 minutes or until desired doneness.
- Brush the cooked beef with a glaze made from hoisin sauce, pineapple juice, ginger, soy sauce, salt, and pepper before serving alongside broiled pineapple.
