- 1 cup pumpkin puree

- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (for topping)

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a greased or parchment-lined 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In one bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add pumpkin puree, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix well.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Swirl in extra cinnamon and nutmeg if desired, then pour into the prepared pan.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar before baking for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
