- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
- 1 ½ cups chicken broth
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley (plus more for garnish)
- ½ cup sour cream (optional)
Instructions
- Lightly grease the slow cooker with cooking spray or butter.
- Place the chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, salt, and dried parsley until fully combined.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender.
- Shred the chicken using two forks directly in the slow cooker; stir in sour cream if desired.
- Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles and garnish with extra parsley.
