Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a stand mixer, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time and mix well after each addition; stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Top with additional chocolate chips if desired.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden but centers look slightly under-baked. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
