- 12 Strawberries
- 1 pint Heavy Whipping Cream
- 8 oz. Cream Cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla
- 1 tbsp Lemon Zest
- 8–10 slices White Bread
Instructions
- Prepare strawberries by washing and hulling them, then drying thoroughly.
- In a mixing bowl, whip the softened cream cheese until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Add heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla; whip until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in lemon zest for added brightness.
- Spread the cream mixture on each slice of bread, layering sliced strawberries on half.
- Top with more cream mixture before placing another slice of bread on top.
- Score diagonally and wrap tightly in plastic wrap; refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- After chilling, cut into desired shapes and serve.
