Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, beat together soft butter and powdered sugar until creamy.
- Mix in cornstarch, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined. Gradually add all-purpose flour until a dough forms.
- Roll dough into one-inch balls, then coat with sugar before placing them on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool on the baking sheet briefly before transferring to a wire rack.
- For icing, mix diced strawberries with granulated sugar, then stir in strawberry syrup, lemon juice, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Ice cooled cookies.
