- ¼ cup granulated sugar (for glaze)
- Juice of half a lemon (for glaze)
- 2 tablespoons warm water (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In one bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, milk, egg, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
- Combine the wet mixture with the dry ingredients until just mixed; fold in strawberries gently.
- Pour batter into the loaf pan and bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- For the glaze, mix sugar with lemon juice and warm water until dissolved; drizzle over cooled bread.
