Ingredients
- 1 (9-inch) pie shell
- 4 cups fresh strawberries (washed and hulled)
- 1 ½ cups water
- ¾ cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 3 ounces strawberry Jell-O
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and bake the pie shell according to package directions. Allow it to cool completely.
- While cooling, wash and hull strawberries, then arrange them in the cooled pie shell.
- In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, and cornstarch. Bring to a boil over medium heat while stirring continuously until thickened (about 2 minutes). Remove from heat and stir in the strawberry Jell-O until dissolved.
- Pour the filling over the strawberries in the pie shell and refrigerate for 3-4 hours until set.
