Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground beef (80/20 preferred)
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 cup cooked turkey bacon, chopped
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms, sautéed
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet or loaf pan.
- Cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Set aside and sauté mushrooms in the rendered fat until browned.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until combined.
- Fold half of the shredded Swiss cheese into the meat mixture.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf on the prepared surface. Top with remaining Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms, and chopped turkey bacon.
- Bake for 45–55 minutes until it reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
- Let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
