  • 2 cups diced apple
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 lbs ground lean turkey
  • 3 Tbs tomato paste
  • 3 cups crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 12 cans kidney beans

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Sauté diced apples, carrots, and sweet potatoes with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, sage, cinnamon, and nutmeg for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add ground turkey; cook until browned (5–7 minutes).
  4. Stir in tomato paste, chili powder, and additional seasonings.
  5. Add crushed tomatoes and simmer on low-medium heat for about 20–30 minutes.
  6. If using kidney beans, add them during the last few minutes of cooking.
