- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup Dutch process cocoa powder
- 1 tsp espresso powder
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2 tsp vanilla
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the donut pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, espresso powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the eggs, sour cream, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract; whisk until smooth.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Fold in mini chocolate chips.
- Fill each donut cavity about 3/4 full with batter and bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before glazing: mix powdered sugar with milk and vanilla until smooth. Dip each donut into the glaze and let excess drip off.
