  • ⅓ cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (milk or semi-sweet)
  • 2 oz chopped bittersweet chocolate
  • ¼ cup chopped pitted cherries (patted dry)
  • ⅓ cup chopped almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a stand mixer, cream softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and almond extracts, then mix in the egg until well combined.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in chocolate chips, chopped bittersweet chocolate, almonds, and cherries.
  6. Chill dough balls in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
