Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare an 8½ x 4½-inch loaf pan with nonstick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed; do not overmix.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 60–70 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Let cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan.
  7. Brush the warm bread with melted butter and coat with a mixture of sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
