Ingredients
- 3 – 4 pounds beef brisket (point cut or flat cut)
- 1 – 2 large yellow or sweet onions (sliced)
- 18 ounces BBQ sauce
- 1 liter cola (regular)
Instructions
- Preheat your slow cooker or sauté pan over medium-high heat. Add vegetable oil and sear the brisket on both sides until browned.
- Remove the brisket and sauté sliced onions in the same pan for about 3 minutes until softened.
- Return the brisket to the slow cooker, placing it on top of the onions. Pour BBQ sauce and enough cola to cover halfway.
- Cover and cook on low for about 8 hours until fork-tender.
- Remove the brisket, slice against the grain, and return shredded meat to cooking liquid to keep moist.
